RETURNS POLICY

Steve Madden will gladly offer a refund or exchange of any full priced item purchased within 30 days (or within 30 days of receiving your online order) for change of mind reasons. This policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

All items must be unworn, in original condition and with original packaging and tags. Shipping costs for online purchases are not refundable. Acceptable proof of purchase must be presented. Refunds will be issued using your original payment method.

Policy by product type

Full price items: Refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase for change of mind, subject to the conditions above.

Sale products: Merchandise that is red ticketed, or from the Sale section online, may be exchanged in-store or a Steve Madden gift card issued for the original purchase price.

Final Sale products: May not be returned or exchanged unless the product is not of acceptable quality or fit for purpose, or does not match the sample shown or description given.

Warehouse Sale items: May not be returned or exchanged unless the product is not of acceptable quality or fit for purpose, or does not match the sample shown or description given. Final sale products will be clearly identified prior to purchase.

Australian Consumer Law rights and guarantees

Steve Madden will assess if a product contains a major or minor fault or if it does not match a sample shown or description given, in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law, and if it is eligible for repair, replacement or a refund.

Please note that general wear and tear and misuse of the product are not considered to be a fault and are not eligible for a refund or exchange.

Online orders may be returned online or at any of the above stores. To initiate an online return, please visit the online returns portal. A handling fee of $5 along with postage fees will be deducted from a return for change of mind reasons. Once we receive your return, our quality check team will assess and process your refund within 1-7 business days.

Online exchanges are not possible.

Purchases made at a Steve Madden Store, Australia

Products can only be returned to a Steve Madden store, and not via the online portal.

Purchases from third party retailers

Purchases from:

  • Department Stores (such as Myer and David Jones)
  • The Iconic
  • Strand Bags
  • TK Maxx
  • Any other third parties; or
  • Overseas retailers,

cannot be returned to Steve Madden Australia stores or online. Please contact the retailer in question to determine if your purchase is eligible for return in accordance with their respective returns and exchanges policies.

Items offered for sale are a combination of samples, production items and seconds.

Please choose carefully as there are no refunds or exchanges for change of mind or for any faults, defects, cuts or imperfections which are brought to your attention prior to purchase.

No refunds or exchanges of products bought at a warehouse sale are permitted unless the product is not of acceptable quality or fit for purpose or does not match the sample shown or description given to you.
